Fee Structure and payment policies

The 2017 daily fee is:  $52.50 per day for children turning 4 on or before the 31st of July of the current year, $63.50 for children turning 4 after the 31st of July of the current year and $28 per day for children from Aboriginal, Torres Straight Island and/or low income families.

Fees are calculated by the term and are payable even when the child is absent for sick days, holidays during term time and public holidays.

Invoices for fees are issued in week 2 of each term and emailed to each family.

$20 waiting list fee.

Enrolment bond: 4 weeks of fees in advance.

$100 enrolment fee.

BCA membership: $3 for new and renewing members.

It is a requirement that one parent/carer of each attending child is a member of the Birchgrove Community Association.

Fees are billed in the second week of term and will be emailed to parents. Fees are payable within 14 days from receipt of invoice.

Fees can be payed by cheque or BPay.  The BPay no. is 126268C.

Please make cheques payable to “Emmerick Street Community Preschool” and give to the teaching director.

Late payment of fees: (Service Fee Policy)

Failure to pay by due date (14 days from invoice) will result in reminder being issued with a clause stating that if the fees are not paid within 7 days of date of issue of reminder, a 5% late payment fee will be added on to the bill.

The BCA committee reserves the right to withdraw the child’s place at preschool if the amount is not paid by this time.

Late collection of children: (Service Fee Policy)

For children who are collected after 3.00pm, a $1.00/minute fee will be charged after 2 verbal warnings. This fine will be payable separate to term fees. Emergency situations do arise from time to time and we ask that you ring us to let us know if you are going to be delayed.

We are a registered child care provider (not approved care).  We are registered under the Birchgrove Community Association- Emmerick Street Community Preschool.  Our Centrelink Carers Reference Number is: 210548217B.


Child Care Benefit

You may be eligible for a child care benefit to assist with fees. Go to the Family Assistance Office website for more information. Our centre is classified as registered care, which is different to approved care.

The child care benefit is a means tested payment.



Waiting List

The teaching director will contact you in September to let you know if there is a place available for your child.
